EASY DOES IT - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Paced roughly then broke for several strides near the 250m losing ground.

EASY DOES IT - back from position at dispatch. Broke shortly after the start losing its chance and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.

EASY DOES IT - broke approaching the first turn hampering a trailing runner and lost all chance. Trainer N Delany was advised that a final warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners. In considering the matter Stewards took into account that the gelding had only recently entered Mr Delany's stable after having incurred warnings with its previous Trainer.

When questioned regarding the performance Driver E Johnson stated that the gelding had received every opportunity.

BECKER - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Checked shortly after the start with driver H Moralde Sands being dislodged from the sulky. Miss Moralde Sands was examined by the oncourse St John Ambulance personnel and cleared of any injury. This runner continued on driverless hampering several runners before falling to the track after jumping track markers near the 900m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.

A final warning was placed on the gelding's performance. Trainer D Bublitz advised he would be sending the gelding for a spell.
